Linking to articles from library databases

Full text articles that are available in the library's databases may be linked in your Brightspace course.   The library provides access to over 100 databases.

Linking Tips

Below are screenshots of our most commonly used databases.

To ensure access, do NOT use the url at the top of your browser window.  Find the persistent URL or Permalink for each article as shown below.

If you are having problems accessing articles off campus, try adding "https://ezproxy.uindy.edu/login?url=" before the persistent link.

EBSCO Databases

Navigate to the article that you wish to link to.  Then click on "permalink" on the right side pane.  The permalink will appear above the title of the article.

PROQUEST Databases

Navigate to the article, then click on "Copy URL" located at the top right of the screen.

NOTE: If your students are unable to access an article from off-campus. you may need to add the following prefix before the URL:

https://ezproxy.uindy.edu/login?url=

Place this before HTTPS component of your link.

Example:

https://ezproxy.uindy.edu/login?url=https://www.proquest.com/healthcompleteshell/scholarly-journals/design-practice-blended-teaching-internal/docview/3066880995/sem-2?accountid=28917
